Alina Grosu

Alina Grosu was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, and entered the music industry at a very young age after winning a vocal competition. The prize — recording a song in a professional studio — became a turning point: there she met renowned Ukrainian singer Iryna Bilyk, which marked the beginning of her early career. Over time, Grosu released several albums and, following her growing success, relocated to Kyiv to further develop her artistic path.

Throughout her career, she took part in major music competitions, including Slavianski Bazaar and the national selections for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

In 2017, Grosu made a bold shift in her musical direction, moving toward a more dance-oriented sound. She released a series of energetic singles — “I Want a Bass,” “Remember,” and “Last Night” — accompanied by provocative and visually striking music videos. These works quickly gained traction, with some reaching over one million views within a single day.

Early 2018 marked another milestone with the release of the single “Lie” and her sixth studio album “BASS”. Later that year, in November, the artist introduced a new chapter by rebranding under the name GROSU. This transformation came with a refined visual identity and a noticeable shift back toward more lyrical, emotionally driven music, starting with the single “Wild.”

In 2019, GROSU continued building anticipation for her upcoming work by releasing “Loved” and “VOVA.” On April 1, she unveiled a musical short film “Wildly Loved Vova,” where she appeared in the unexpected role of a Catholic nun — a bold artistic statement that further reinforced her evolving image.

On March 12, 2021, GROSU released her seventh studio album, the self-titled “GROSU,” featuring 17 tracks. Later that year, she embarked on her all-Ukrainian tour “Invincible,” performing in cities including Vinnytsia, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. The first leg of the tour concluded with a major концерт in Kyiv at the Palace Ukraine on November 23, 2021. Since 2025, GROSU has been collaborating with Polish musician Love Machine, expanding her presence to international stages and performing concerts around the world.
