Thomas Anders (Bernd Weidung) started his music career in the early 1980s. His big breakthrough came when he created Modern Talking together with Dieter Bohlen. The group became one of the most successful European projects of the decade and reached a global audience, selling more than 120 million records worldwide. They became one of the most successful German pop duos in history. You have probably heard at least a few lines from these hits: “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul”, “Cheri, Cheri Lady”, “Brother Louie”. After the duo ended, Thomas Anders continued his solo career and stayed popular, especially in Europe.
